Sascha Kurgan's style is shaped by his classical training with Germany's best chefs. His stations include the Potsdam Schlosshotel, the Cecilienhof Palace Restaurant, the Vendôme in the Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg, the Lorenz Adlon Restaurant and the Skykitchen.

Yes, that's right: Sascha Kurgan was already working as Sous Chef alongside Alexander Koppe at Skykitchen. He travelled further to learn even more and discover new things. It was Joachim Wissler's book that not only spurred Sascha on, but rather made it clear where his journey was going. A little later, he was able to learn from Joachim Wissler in person. A tough school, but as he says himself: "The time spent next to Joachim Wissler is priceless and has left a lasting impression on me." - He loves playing with flavours and conjuring up a unique dish from the fruits of nature to surprise his guests.

When exciting wines and creative cuisine combine, a world opens up for restaurant manager Barbara Merll, and she wants to pass on this world. And this is something Barbara masters perfectly. Charming, likeable and relaxed, she dances through the restaurant. You notice immediately that waitressing is not a job for her, but a vocation. Born in Saarland, she is a true child of gastronomy with roots in her family's hotel business. She has been working as a maître d' at Skykitchen since 2012. Her stations include the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, the MS Deutschland and Restaurant 44 at the Swissôtel Berlin. Her irresistible nonchalance, knowledge and sensitivity were recognised in the Rolling Pin Awards as "Berlin's Best Hostess 2015" and "Maître of the Year 2017" for the whole of Germany.
